What does a doctor's assistant do?

Our doctor's assistants are happy to assist you. They can provide advice over the telephone on a wide range of medical issues and arrange appointments for you for consultations, home visits or telephone consultations.

In order to do their job properly, the doctor's assistants sometimes ask additional questions. This is called triage. The general practitioner has made clear agreements with them about this. Naturally, our doctor's assistants are also bound by medical confidentiality.

In addition to their advisory role, the doctor's assistants have their own consultation hours, for which you can make an appointment. During these consultation hours, they perform various procedures, such as taking smears, giving injections, syringing ears, removing stitches, performing urine and culture tests, measuring your blood pressure, treating warts and dressing wounds.

In short: our doctor's assistants fulfil a versatile and indispensable role within the practice.
